I did take the responsibility to teach my eldest son mengaji. Such tanggungjawab besar tu. Even though I am busy at work, sampai rumah pun time Maghrib, dengan letihnya Ya Rabbi tapi I'm happy occupying my time yg ada just to teach my son mengaji. Aternya, memang susah nak cari tempat mengaji kat rumah baru since we all baru je pindah kan? Surau depan rumah baru la ni siap nya. Belum pun ada initiative to have a mengaji class for kids. AJK surau, please take note ye...
Then I ada lah tanya kawasan sekitar-sekitar ni, jenguk-jenguk, I macam tak confident je. I pergi kat one nursery ni, dok pasang banner ada kelas Iqra' tapi dah bape kali mengetuk, tu pun ada kepala terjenguk. Bila tanya, macam ala-ala je and senyum macam kerang busuk. Bila tanya sape yg ngajar ngaji, dia kata semua yg ada kat sini. Hah? Lagi wa tak confident!
Pas tu, I cakap kat my hubby, setakat Iqra', I boleh ajar. In fact, I believe that everyone can teach their children mengaji. I pun dulu sekolah agama, takkan tak boleh ngajar anak sendiri. Daripada membuang duit, baik ngajo sendiri. Dapat berkat, dapat pahala, tak gitew?
I taught my son Muqaddam as the first step mengenali Al-Quran. I let him know all the huruf first before ha can go to Iqra'. Senang kalau kenal huruf ni. Macam kita membaca gak, kena kenal A, B, C dulu kan?
This is the Iqra' kitab (I prefer to use this word instead of book), which you can find at any book store. I bought it kat rumah lama I di Cheras dalam MYR 12 je. There is another Iqra in Black color, siap gambar Ustaz Hassan Az-Zahari tu (kalau sape tak kenal orang femes ni, memang nak kena pelangkung!), tapi versi Indon lah pulak! Haru. Tapi kebanyakan tempat are using this pink color. Why lah pink kan? I hate pink, anyway!
So far, Abang is doing well, Dah masuk Iqra' 2 setengah jalan. I am grateful that eventhough dia start mengaji lambat, tapi Alhamdulillah, his catch up is good. Maybe because he learn both; Muqaddam and Iqra'
